I loved this show. It's interesting to see chefs from different parts of the world trying to make a dish from places that they may or may not familiar with. However, after watching a couple of episodes I realised that the participants aren't diverse at all. There was only one black chef, three Asian chefs (one who is female), three Hispanic chefs, and three female chefs out of 24 in total. It's also worth noting that they got eliminated pretty early throughout the show.
Additional note, for the US episode, I think they mentioned how US is a diverse country but it's ironic how the judges for that episode are all white.
I have to admit I don't have the biggest knowledge in the culinary world, but I'm pretty sure there excellent chefs who are not white and male.
Despite this, The Final Table is a good show. I'm honestly looking forward to a new season with more countries and diverse chefs (or even judges).
