Being an not so evid reader, I was very moved and shaken by the writing skills and story telling artistry in Miss A. The God of Small things for the first time instilled in me a longing to read more work by a single author. And I didn't waste any time to grab this gem once I laid my eyes on the book in one of the book stores.
Although not many but I sure have had my hand on many a classics, but the storyline of this book simply reminded me of how 2 of India's river originate from different glaciers, cuts through vast highlands, pave their way through the great plains, merge into each other creating 'Terre sainte', further flow through disturbing lowlands flawlessly and finally fall to rest giving everything it collected in its fathoming journey.
I won't shy in agreeing to disagree with certain elementary thought process portrayed in the book but in her own words, "the point of the writer is to be unpopular".
Read it, if only you feel you have educated yourself enough to understand and soak in the individuality of 5 fingers on your left hand.
