One of the best films of this year! However, If you go in to this movie expecting a full on hardcore war film, you are going to be disappointed. This movie is more about the psychological war a person, sorry ape, faces in tough times. Though it does have a few action scenes, it's more of a drama movie. It is less fun and more bleak and depressing. This movie deals with very mature and dark themes. If you enjoy such movies, you are in for a treat. Also, it is beautifully shot and has a great background score. The CGI has gotten so good that it truly feels like you are watching a real ape. Kudos, WetaFX. Also, give Andy Serkis an Oscar already, please. Matt Reeves has made a masterpiece. APES. TOGETHER. STRONG!
