Over-acting from Kajol, plus she doesn't project the grace that classical dancers do. The way they handle themselves is out of bounds to her. And the swearing in that excess doesn't seem natural, only a sad attempt at emulating a hard personality. The story is okayish and missed out on many levels. Many characters with no depth. In fact, it was a pretty big let down because being a revolutionary implies making difficult choices to ensure better life for future generations; consider the life of Mahatma Phule and his wife. On the other hand, the movie was underwhelming. I was shocked about how casually the topic of gender determination in the womb was discussed, the fact that it is illegal for the very reason that Masha does it. Then trying to cover it with how nice her family is. Such a disappointment!
