This film falls apart after the first half hour. Not going to get into the plot, because quite frankly, there isn't one. It is basically a single-location thriller with some horrendous acting thrown in the mix. I get that a low-budget production usually feels low budget. But this film feels like a school project at times. Almost like they wrote some scenes as an afterthought, while filming other scenes! It doesn't even have a proper ending. No redeemable qualities. Watch at your own risk!

This is not a fourth film in a Matrix quadrilogy... This film feels more like a 2-hour pilot for what appears to be an imminent Matrix series. No way they would introduce a plethora of new characters for a mere one-off production. Too much going on and the whole thing feels like TV material to begin with. They added the ability to have any actor play a character (Morpheus), much like Marvel has done with Spidey. So expect non-Keanu Neo's in the future... Kudos to the writers for tying it all up together nicely; the Matrix is a confusing plot line from the start and this new film makes it all much more digestible. I came for the nostalgia, stayed for the new characters. Well done.
