In my opinion this is Prince's best album by far. I know that for most Prince fans its sacreligous to say that. It was the album that introduced him to the mainstream. It's fusion of pop, Rock, and 80s funk, and masterful use of the lin-1 drum machine and synthesizer makes this album a masterpiece, that often gets overlooked by the likes of Purple Rain and sign o' the times (great albums for sure).this album has everything form the whimsical Delirious to the funky DMSR, lady cab driver, to the sensual ballad of international lover, to the patriotic song Free, the rock sound of the classic little red Corvette. prince's genius is on full display and in my opinion at his creative highest point.
