Don't bother watching this dumpster fire. Can't comment on acting (I don't have any credentials to do so) but the story-telling was abysmal.
So much wasted potential. So unrealistic. Horror ought to stem from reality. That's what makes it scary - the fact that you can imagine it in your reality. That's what a true haunting does to a person. This is just 100 minutes of skirting around the obvious. What a waste, what a waste.
The characters were unrealistic. The plot was, overall, incomplete. I get wanting the story to continue off the page, but this was not that. This was messy, repetitive, cluttered, shallow, long, and hard to believe. I was just annoyed the whole way through.
You know what actual horror is? It's seeing the character do their very best, (mostly) make logical decisions based on individual perspective/experience, and still end up doomed. That's scary. Having no escape no matter how hard you try is terrifying. And it makes the audience sympathize with the characters that much more. No one likes an idiot.
In a word, this movie is stupid.
-100/5 stars, for every minute wasted.
Edit: My mom wants to mention that we were keeping up a counter for the #times the daughter's name was mentioned but we quickly lost track and interest. Great drinking game if you wanna get yourselves killed via alcohol poisoning.
