This is a really bad movie. It’s a disgrace compared to the series. I don’t think someone actually thought how to make plot. They just wanted a specific ending and rammed their way to it with endless cinematic cliches that doesn’t fit. What did I just watched 🤦‍♂️ 1) A cartoonish villain who is a small man but can fight Idris Elba in hand combat. 2) A policeman send to prison with no trial in matter of days. 3) A water spray that dispose gasoline that does not hurt ur eyes. 4) Crossing the English Channel with a man hiding in the back (wish refugees knew that option). 5) Crossing the channel to go to Norway from London and reach their the next day 6) Wearing a jacket in London weather and not minding the frozen mountain weather on the same clothes! 7) very bad white thing that suppose to be ice ah! I’m tired this movie is baaaaaad

A decent movie (spoiler-free) .. the movie is consistent with Pedro Almodóvar previous movies and keeping with his motherhood theme 1) brilliant cinematography although the director kept repeating similar scene closing techniques almost 8 times. 2) the movie stretched too much trying to cover a lot of topics without depth. 3) The main story is a bit cliche, but the acting is amazing. 4) Soundtracks are the highlight of this movie.

just bad on every level .. bad acting, bad graphic, bad story line, just bad

Tough to watch! I never found myself tearing while watching a movie. The movie is full of these hard-hitting realities of how tough is life and how easy it is to be pretentiously virtuous, empty, and cruel. A very raw movie, with great actors, soundtrack, and subtle character development .. truly moving!

As someone from a different culture to the movie, I feel almost bewitched by how family ties, that unique connection to grandparents transcend culture. I well-acted movie, captured the essence of third culture kids, the oreo, the banana, the one who cannot fit and happy to be unique open to all culture but still find solace in his own heritage. Great movie

I watched this movie twice. Once with a friend and I couldn't appreciate the quality of the scenario although I was blown out by the acting and cinematography with striking sceneries and long shots. The next day the movie was still in my head, so I gave it a proper watch .. alone!. And I truly enjoyed the movie. It is very eccentric and preaches loneliness when the world does not understand your voice, and at the same time, it is full of color, a great window into a life baptised by music that evokes all kinds of memories. I truly enjoyed this movie .. just make sure you selfishly enjoy it alone. one fun fact: the majority of the cast were actually members of kolombiano groups. Director Fernando Frías went to different parts of Monterrey and put out signs with the casting info and a very brief synopsis of the movie. The only requirements were to be young and a good cumbia dancer. None of the gang members in the movie were actors, which is why it feels so authentic and true to the counterculture.

Held the excellent quality for a Toshiro Mifune movie. More of an indie film if you started the movie expecting Mifune's stunning Samurai stunts. I enjoyed it, it still sinking in tbh
