ZOMBIES is a movie I am way too old to watch.
I initially watched it to be funny, but I honestly adored the quirkiness of the film and thus I forced my friends and family to watch it too. They were also all too old to watch it. The movie itself is cute. It keeps the audience entertained, it doesn't talk down to the audience (which is hard to do for movies aimed at younger generations), and most importantly I thought it had enough substance to warrant it being my muse for my college English course final essay. Yes. I really did.
I wrote a ten-page essay comparing this incredibly light-hearted and adorable movie to the profound and deeply uncomfortable literature of civil rights activists.
If I get an "A" on the essay, I will personally convert to a Zom and will never again laugh at Bucky's really awkward yet somehow still entertaining quips. I swear that.
But my grade remains to be seen.
For now, however, I give ZOMBIES an A+.
Cute story, cuter music, it is an all-around fuzzy feeling movie with some genuinely funny lines.
