I still have fond memories of the movie, which I watched with my family, way back in 1983. I was just an 8-year-old kid then. A really heartwarming movie having a simple storyline with lyrics by Shri. Bichu Thirumala set to some lilting tunes my Shri. Jerry Amaldev. Another great movie from the master craftsman Fazil Sir. An evergreen classic family drama. A must watch movie for all families.

Real love and affection arises when two pure souls identify each other. It is not at all related to whether two people are related by birth or not. One who sees himself/herself in each and every fellow being that he/she encounters in life, loves everyone with impartiality, which is divine love. Ranjan Pramod has done an excellent job as the screenplay writer of this wonderful movie. A must watch for everyone.

I was a teenager when this film was released and it still evokes in me the same feeling when I saw it at the time it was released and it is really an evergreen movie with some really soul-stirring music by the Jatin-Lalit duo.... lovely lyrics and soulful rendition by the playback singers.... a feel-good entertainer to the core... I highly recommend to the current young teens....the aim of a movie is to evoke in you some really good feelings.... this movie serves this very purpose very well...

I saw it when I was only 8 years of age and every scene from this great epic still flashes across my mind screen. An epic in every sense. Sir Richard Attenborough is a legend.

I am gonna watch it soon. Its pretty long time since I watched a really feel good movie... Hats off to the producers and director and the scriptwriter. Movies like these mirror the feelings of today's youth and the value of true friendships. I would highly recommend this for watching for everyone, irrespective of any divides simply because the theme is universal.
