exquisite! no surprise it got the oscars and palme d'ors it did.. the dialogues are rapier sharp, wielded as ace duellists would who are also moving as if in poetic ballet - and boy, do they make their thousand tiny cuts..??!! in a way, it is classic israeli, i should say; ruthless, unsparing on self, rigorous, sophisticated, yet strangely poetic.. 
the acting is classy, by not just a few but *all* - and that is a marvel in itself.. and then there are shots compositions, the faces in long closeups, terse silences that speak a thousand words... pl see it, to experience it all. this IS a GREAT movie. ps: i wonder how these remain obscure, invisible to even the many film.lovers…?! (by the fact, for instance, that i find myself the first guy to post a review !
