7 hours into this game myself. Not sure why some critics are giving this game relatively low scores when those same critics gave the original Dying Light glowing reviews. Dying Light 2 takes what made Dying Light 1 great, improves upon it, and adds to it. I think the movement and parkour feels even better. I find the combat is more engaging. It's now more enticing to go out at night. The story feels like it's well crafted with solid writing, better voice actors, and characters that are actually compelling (I didnt really care about any NPCs in the first game). There are decisions that actually matter and impact the world around you. It's absolutely beautiful to look at and runs great (I'm playing on PS5). The world design is also FAR superior to the first game. I did a lot of gushing there. But it's important to note that I do not consider this to be a perfect game. It definitely has its flaws, some bugs, and some stuff that could have been handled better. But if you thought the first game was an 8/10 or 9/10, there's absolutely no reason to give this game a 6/10 or 7/10 like I'm seeing from some other reviews.

Meh. That's what this game leaves me feeling. There are worse games, but there are also definitely better games. It's similar to both Chivalry and For Honor, but in my opinion it's worse than both. At least in its current state. It has potential, but it's going to need a lot of work if the devs want it to catch on and stick around.

Not at all as bad as people are saying. The game was a 9/10 in my opinion. Gameplay, mechanics, character progression,, level design, enemies, character models, visuals and audio design were all 10/10. The story I give 8/10. It was fantastic as, however I do feel like there were some pacing issues and it also felt a bit too long. But I still loved it and will be playing a second time through.
