I realise it's fictional, and in truth enjoyed it. However, I was irritated by the nagging question, why send two men accross NML and areas that Germans left behind were still occupying, with such a vital message. Yes, comms were down, but as seen in the film planes were flying, and indeed early on we were told reconnaissance missions had flown over the new German front line. Why not fly over the front the Devonshires were about to go over and drop messages along the lines to reach commanding officer?
I'm all for imersing myself in a film, but I couldn't shift this nagging question as I watched...
