Really an amazingly told harrowing story! The three different perspectives of the husband, the rapist and Marguerite was genius, especially when we saw the same scene again but from an alternative view. I loved that all three characters were three dimensional people and that Marguerite was given personality and agency. There was nuance, but ultimately the audience knows what the factual truth is, which is really important. All of the actors were amazing. Matt Damon and Adam Driver really disappeared into their roles. Jodie Comer was breathtaking as Marguerite. She was the real hero and I’m so happy she had a happy ending with her son and ultimately freedom from her husband. Really great to see another beautifully filmed and fascinating historical epic from Ridley Scott. Need more movies like this. The best thing about this one is we see so much has changed yet so much remains the same.

I can't believe I only watched this film yesterday! The story is dark and violent and the characters complex and nuanced. Claudia, although still wicked and completely insane, suffers great tragedy and along with the actress's incredible performance, she is made very sympathetic yet still terrifying. Liliana is lovely, but no innocent either and I love the very realistic twist that she is one who pushes her stepmother away out of childish jealousy and longing for her own mother. I think I probably would have found it too scary when I was little, but this is a truly beautiful, horrifying film (far more Brothers' Grimm than Disney) with plenty of death, blood, envy, deviancy, and terror. I'd say this is the best snow white adaptation of all time!

I never watched the original show, but I love Roswell New Mexico- I think it is amazing! The cinematography and the landscape of New Mexico are so beautiful and really add to the wild west undertone of this alien, murder mystery. The characters are wonderfully complicated and diverse in so many ways that I think everyone can relate to each of them differently. They all have strengths but are not afraid to recognise the flaws in each other and themselves. I really appreciate how relevant the show is to today’s issues, focusing on immigration and all forms of prejudice with humanity and depth. Liz is such a refreshingly proactive, smart and strong female protagonist and her chemistry with Max is undeniable. Alex and Michael are also such an intriguing and beautiful romance that everyone needs to see on screen. The show is action-packed, the chemistry and acting are on point and the mystery is really interesting.

Legacies is really amazing! It has totally exceeded my expectations. I love that the characters are so young and flawed and the boarding school setting is so much fun for me cause I go to boarding school too. The romance is really cute and the expansion of the supernatural in this world is very exciting. Legacies is getting better and better each episode. I really hope Caroline comes back for season 2. She was always my favourite character in both the vampire diaries and the originals and I’d love to see her as a mother to the twins again. Everyone is complaining about how different Legacies is to the other two shows, but I think that’s what makes it so interesting. I don’t think many people fully appreciate that a lot of the characters on the vampire diaries and the originals had to be killed off at the end because the actors probably did not want to play them forever- which is understandable. Though, both the vampire diaries and the originals I feel went on for too long and the storylines just weren’t as good in the last few seasons. I think Legacies will have a really satisfying conclusion because it will be the last in the trilogy and I really hope it has many seasons ahead of it.
