Many of the reviews are pedantic and harsh for such a beautiful and honest film! I was riveted from start to finish, humbled and inspired by this man's life, who used both his suffering and privilege to bless the world with his creativity and use of language and imagination. I was incredibly touched by the way Tolkien did friendship too - I can't help but be a bit envious of the profound bond he had with his school friends who became like brothers to him. Loved it and would watch it again in an instant!
