Uuuugh where do I begin. There is no comparing the original to this. This being a musical is like taking a knife and stabbing me in the stomach. Some of the songs dont seem right for the time. Like they were later 80s, when the movie is supposed to be early 80s. The clothes are off too, not quite right. It's hard to get into it when the timeline is off because the music and clothes dont match the time period. I gave this 2 stars because my 8 year old was amused. She likes musicals. The original was cool, this is cheese.
