I don't get what's the film is trying to do or at least say. Gyllenhal's character was somehow underdeveloped. Mulligan, who gave a remarkable performance, lost the spark of it's character somewhere near the end. And during the final seen, when they had a family picture I just felt they weren't a family at all. That they didn't have this "feel" these three actors were a family. The cinematography is wonderful though.
