The first time I heard this album I was 16 and I was already a huge fan of Sam Cooke. Once I played both sides and listened to his interpretation of songs I had heard by other artists, Sam Cooke became my # 1 male singer of all time. His phrasing and little moans and signature sounds that only he could make, were reasons I fell in love with both him and the album. There is everything from R & B, Pop, Standards and even Blues. His version of "Driftin' Blues" I prefer over Bobby "Blue Blands", even though I love me some Bobby. I loved the entire album since 1965. Oh, if haven't already, check out his version of "Little Red Rooster", simply fabulous. It.s not on this album but if you love the blues, look it up.
