There were so many missing and superfluous words, missing quotation marks (and even an incorrect word in the Acknowledgments) etc that it ruined any appreciation I may have developed for the story itself.
Example: page 340 "The establishment's windows were so caked with grime that it could offer its the patrons a privacy forgone ........"
and page 294 "....... he was able to cadge a basic palette and a couple brushes......."
and page 243 "Half and hour passed ....."
and page 189 "....the New Guard would whatever necessary to deny him that privilege."
You get the drift! Yes I'm picky, but for me a story cannot flow when peppered with errors.
