I cried. I rarely cry while watching movies/series but this one got me. The story is so good (I wont spoil anything here.) The writing is superb, the character build-up is interesting, the pacing is so perfect. At first I thought I will never get or understand this as these will be Korean playground games but I found out I played almost every game in there too when I was a kid. I really can relate. It deals with basic human instincts and emotions but one has to retain his/her humanity to get far. You learn all these in kindergarten but how much would you remember? I commend the writers, the director, the artists behind Squid Game. This is definitely worthy to be a dinner topic.
