Try and ignore the controversy. This isn't a political movie, nor is it filled with conspiracy theories or whatever. What it is, is an emotionally tense film, highlighting an extremely terrifying reality. I watched it without knowing anything about the background controversies and I didn't feel like it was trying to push any kind of political message. The focus was on the plight of children being trafficked. The acting was wonderful and impressive. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. I cried more than once, and at the end, I was truly inspired and looking for ways to help. And yes, it did make me sad as well. But it is a necessary message for us all - we cannot turn a blind eye.
