Bland, Boring, Overhyped. This is a very mediocre film, there are no real redeeming factors in this film. This film may appeal to some people from the Muslim community but it doesn't really appeal to me as an avid film viewer. There is no strong storyline, there is no gripping plot. the comedy did not really work out. The entire theme of the movie was extremely bland and vapid. Very lazy writing to be honest. The film was really uncompelling on a whole. Did not enjoy it at all. Zakariya's Sudani was a masterpiece, in my opinion, that was such an interesting movie with a strong compelling script. Whereas as Halal lovestory is the quintessential mediocre film with a dry storyline.

Disgrace to all tamil movies. This movie is an epic disaster. Sundar if youre reading this please dont make a movie again. This is as low as it gets.

Okay, so we know the film is bad by now. I'm not going to touch on the direction part of the movie. It is indubitably the worst Netflix movie I've watched. But what takes this movie from bad to legendary bad is the lighting. Mrs siriel killer has the worst lighting in the history of world cinema, I guarantee you that. Every single shot in the movie has altleast 7 coloured lights for reasons only known to the director and the guy who rents lighting equipment to the movie. By far the most interesting thing about the whole movie is the lighting, pay attention to it if you're going to rewatch it(Please Don't!)

The wildest trip. Trance is not everyones cup of tea. The film is eccentric, bizzare and goes from zero to hundred in a matter of minutes. This film is not for the faint hearted or for the average jeo. The cinematography, bgm, pacing, acting and editing of the film are leagues and bounds apart when you compare it with an ordinary malayalam film. You'll love it if you immerse yourself into the movie; if you try to see things from the characters perspective. The film deals with a lot of touchy subjects like drugs and religion. The cinematography is EXCEPTIONAL, so is the BGM. Fahad's acting is perfect for the role, he is eccentric, crazy and acts with his eyes. He was tailor made for this role. The theme of the movie is unheard of in the malayalam industry and very controversial. A lot of religious fanatics are attacking the film due to its theme. This movie is epic, an experience like never before, however it is not for everyone, it is not a family movie, it has no comedy or any of the usual stuff. You have to immerse yourself in the movie to get it completely. Youre more likely to love the if you have an artistic side, if youre open to experimental movies. Films like these comes around once every couple of years. If you dont give it a chance its your loss.

Padam shokamaan Unni. The movie lacks soul. The film isnt gripping or indulging as it should be. Half way through the film It feels like the director tries way too hard to feed the audience puesdo profound dialogues in ancient malayalam. Many a times I found it difficult to understand the meaning of the dialogues because every dialogue is meant to be some sort of a punch line with little or no meaning at all and they've used old malayalam which makes it even more boring and difficult to understand. The action sequences are really bad, way too many rope shots and people jumping and flying everywhere. They've not tried to make the action scenes bielivable, the computer graphics used in many shots is really mediocre. It is very difficult to digest the scene where a puny kid kills like 100 warriors. Mammotty struggles in the stunt scenes because of his lack of flexibility. Unni Mukundan has done justice to his role and is probably the only redeeming factor in this entire movie. Overall this movie Was a huge disappointment.

Absolutely Pointless! This film is a series of pointless scenes merged together to make a three hour long visual diarrhea in theaters. The Director does not have a sense of continuity. Random scenes jump out of nowhere in this film without giving any closure. The director tries to add puesdo profound BS in every single dialogue which makes it even more frustrating.

Probably one of the most underrated movies in malayalam. Guppy is perfection in my opinion. Every shot, every frame, every dialogue in this film is well though out. It feels like there much more to this movie than what we see on screen. Films like these comes by once in every few years. Im deeply saddened by the fact that Guppy has not reached its true potential, somehow malayalees have missed out on this gem of a movie. Guppy is an exceptional film that will surely become a cult classic in the coming years. Brilliant work Mr John Paul. Looking forward to see your next venture.
