"katheyondu shuruvagide" (A story has begun) Impressed by the catchy title and approaching posters , I went to watch this movie with very high hopes and am glad, my hopes reached reality. A resort, its owner and a guest forms the framework of the story with the heart soothing side stories in the background. I found about this movie through a friend of mine and he continuously kept updating the information. Surprisingly, every updates turned out to be curiosity generators. And, one day he sent me the trailer, it felt just like Nicolas Sparks magic in Kannada. Since that day I couldn't wait for its release and finally the movie hit the screen today. I rushed to the theatre amongst the terrific traffic with the fear of missing out opening scene. Because I was late and the time was already 10. While in the cab I saw Dr Rajkumar's poster and strated praying him saying " please do something so that I wouldn't miss any scene". And for my luck , appaji did bless me . I reached around 10:15 and movie hasn't started yet. I called my friend who kept me updated, he asked me to come to projector room where the Pooja was happening. I enter the room, damn! RAKSHIT SHETTY was standing there. That was the good omen for the romantic magic which I witnessed later. Finally the projector lit the screen, lighting up a romantic world. Leading characters Akash and Tania played by Diganth Manchale and Pooja Devariya totally stole the screen and the emotions too. Sachin Warrier music is beautifully blended with the alluring location which perfectly complimented the story. Sreeraj's camera work triggers the lust towards wandering. But more than all these, the dialogues are what we carry back with us. It is written with the intention of targeting right to the centre of the heart and completely changes perception towards life. And, Senna Hegde has done a wonderful job in combining all the departments. Because, it's the director who decides the fate of the movie and he did it wonderfully. A movie released in the year of 2003 called 'Mystic River'. A mysterious drama by legendary Clint Eastwood created high buzz and grabbed many awards. In 2017 , a Malayalam movie with the same name (translated version), Mayaanadhi hit the screen and the output is no less than Eastwood creation. While browsing youtube randomly,I had come across the trailer and was never been so amazed by any trailer before. Later I asked couple of my Malayalee friends about the movie and it was shame they hadn't even heard the name. By the time I acknowledge the creation of such a masterpiece, movie was out of theatres and couldn't find any link to watch the digital version Mayaanadhi is a thriller romance of Malayalam language. Every single frame successfully stole the attention and built curiosity towards the next one. It definitely is not an overrated statement if I call this movie as a new milestone in Malayalam cinemas. Amongst the unparallel triumphs of Dulquer Salman Parvathi Menon and Fahadh Fasil movies, Mayaanadhi stands unique and generated its own charisma.Two college sweethearts, facing hardships to save their relationship from clash of rich class and middle classes, finally able to convince the world for the approval of their love with hero's masculine polished character and heroine's true love fantasy with heart soothing songs shot in beautiful foreign location is exact contrast of what Mayaanadhi is. It is tale dealing with the practicality of the life , struggling over the career, dreaming of perfect future with restless attempt towards it in the present. It is story where families have become less than nuclear but still a hope to hold it together. Amongst all these two hearts trying to match the heartbeats to keep up their lost love is truly touching and outbreaks the emotions. The lead characters Aparna Ravi and Maathan played by Aishwarya Lekshmi and Tovino Thomas are brilliantly engaging and they sure do stir up the hearts. Their performance is amazingly justified by potentially talented side cast. Rather than saying music is created, I'd rather say it is generated on its own blending outstandingly to the situation. A bilinear plot with the static frames is truly a magical and miraculous creation of outstanding Malayalam industry.
