I thought that this show was brilliant.
The characters and storyline managed to grip me throughout the entire season and I enjoyed every minute of it. The casting seemed almost perfect and now, some of the characters seem like they could never be acted by anyone else. Many are saying it, but I have to agree that Henry Cavill does an amazing job in his role and his performance was one of the focal points that I enjoyed in the show.
The storyline might seem confusing and wild at first and takes time to figure out and connect with it but once I did, I loved it. I came to realize that this wildness and difference from any other show is what makes it the Witcher - and I didn’t come to watch a remake of game of thrones, so I loved it. They delve into excellent and unique ideas and plots that make the show something definitely worth watching.
I have definitely noticed that critics have either been very torn by their feelings of the show or just did not find it good at all. However the ratings by most of the audience have been extremely positive. It might not be for everyone and The Witcher may not be a perfect show, but it was something that I enjoyed and made me want to binge for the entire night, and I think that’s what’s the most important thing. Because no matter what critics say, if the show makes you want to binge the whole season one day, that’s a brilliant show in my books
