This is a show I looked forward to watching every week. It was a 'must see'. I have just learned The Village is canceled. Tell me; how could a show redolent with love, compassion, about deep complex interpersonal relationships we could relate to and learn from and acquire understanding, by identifying parts of ourselves in, be nixed? Are sports and crime shows and scripted, reality shows all we deserve? Are we that shallow? Well, judging by the tragic manner in which manners, civility, sensitivity and truth have been supplanted by the new rude, crass selfishness of today, it should not be as surprising this great show didn't make it. Civility and depth of character are out and brutish, Eff You I don't care is in.
