As someone who has played this game for seven years and is the top two weekly sinker of ships for console I can say that this is the best pirate game you can play as an assassins creed game,this game struggles. The assassins rarely show up and are forgettable. The other characters are a whole different story, they are written perfectly and feel as if they are real humans. The story is great but the parts of the game where you leave the animus is really boring and badly written. Edward is a great character with flaws that are resolved in the end. He is genuinely hilarious at times and he isn’t just a comedic relief. The gameplay is great it is fun and smooth the ship battles are the best parts of the game. The sword fights are a huge let down as it consists of you pressing a button to counter and pressing another one to kill the person. Overall the game is fun and a great buy if you are looking for some fun ship battles and a good story.
