I loved the original Star Trek, Next Generation, and Voyager. But Discovery did not capture my imagination. The stories are bland and nothing really pushes me to watch more.
Also it is pretty lame they put this show behind a pay wall when all Trek shows were on television. Ill just keep on watching better shows like The Orville.
