How did this sound to you: “James Wan made a stylized 1980s homage (complete with endless camp and *zany* gross-out monster)” Your answer is probably going to be very close to how you feel about this film. I had a blast watching this and my only gripe with the film is that I felt like Wan chose camp over creepy a bit too often during the third act.
