Just started watching Season 2 - the intrusion of music - or rather, it's not music it's just electronically generated noise - is nuts. There is hardly a sequence in which this noise is absent and the crescendos at times are painful. You really have to wonder whether directors/producers ever look at the finished product or manage the sound mix by the sound engineer. I can't bear it and after one episode, I'm giving it a miss.
Unfortunately, it's not that rare ... it's an absolute treat to watch something like Line of Duty where the real action is in an interview room - no intrusive nonsense, just a strong script that carries the storyline.
