The story is truly a colorful, thrilling one that is sure going to make you obsessed with it. In fact, I read the book at least 20 times now. I loved the myriads of characters and the settings with adventure, romance, tragedy, and comedy mixed in together. For both straight and LGBT+ individuals, you can easily find yourself among the characters. I am so looking forward to the second book coming out!

This Colombian show is really a captivating story. So many characters are intertwined together as if fate had plans for all of them, determining their futures ahead.

It was a very touching story when I read it back in middle school. Being a person of Indian descent, I understood how life is difficult for many Indians struggling with poverty and homelessness. I also was overwhelmed by the hardships the protagonist and his family had to endure just to live. This drove me to tears and as one former reader to others, I believe that the book allows you to visualize a person’s life burdened with poverty, loss, and abuse.
