In my opinion the movie is good, but I didn´t like the beginning, since I would have liked to see more about Bathsheba's uncle to see if it was true that he was a good farmer, but in general all good. The characters themselves have no flaws, the actors played them great, speaking more about the story, the character of Fanny seemed very weak to me, that is, she did not have much of an important role. Then Gabriel for me is the best character, although I honestly believe that he did not deserve Bathsheba because from the beginning he wanted to marry her but rejected him. As for Bathsheba, the character reaches a point where you start to "disgust" because he sends a joke letter to Boldwood, marries a man he has known for about 4 hours (Frank) and if he is so independent, why not? Was she left alone instead of looking at Boldwood? Frank does very well as an antagonist because when he dies you are glad that he is gone, and that is very important to be a good antagonist. Liddy is a kind of neutral character, since if we remove him from the story everything remains more or less the same, so I consider him to be more of a hindrance than anything else. Finally Boldwood, in the story I see him, like Fanny, a little lazy, but right at the end of the movie, which was starting to be important, they put him in jail with what is a neutral character. I recommend watching this movie as it is worth it, although it lasts 2 hours, it fills you with intrigue and entertains a lot.
