I watched the movie this evening, n i found it to be brilliant! I dont know how much play the producers had in adapting n changing the script. The comments i have read dont do justice to the movie, but each to their own.
Yes, this is a dramatic take on forrest gump, but then it is an indian movie. Im glad It is doin well overseas because at times, a remake to remind us of how good a 90's movie was, is worthwhile.
Aamir hits the right emotions at the right time. Yes the 2nd half is slower, but a lot more emotion goes into it for us to feel invested in the characters. The loneliness, the despair, the madness of the world, the fact that we take things for granted, complain n r ungrateful, it fits the current time we in. We got a lot to he thankful for, thanks for reminding me of that AK.
Ny view: With the cancel culture n nationalism on the rise, i think AK should quit Bollywood n try his hand in another country's film industry.
