This movie was an utter perfection in the world of movies that allow you to feel an out of body experience. Despite my opinion on the film, many people disagree with my stance which I find highly upsetting. This is not because I don't like differing opinions, it's exclusively because of the reason they dislike the movie. Now I will by no means say it had the best story or that it was ingenious, but I will say that it had an underlying feeling that carried throughout the film that I think a majority of the film watchers missed. My whole life I have felt a connection to Queen and I never understood why. I knew their music was catchy and it made me have a good time, but the music was made way out of my timeline which made me believe that there's no way I should enjoy this movie. Despite this feeling, I went to watch it and I was hit with such a pure understanding of their music I will never regret it. The movie describes the band's journey to reach all the people who feel like no one understands them or feel alone. This hit home for me and I will never forget the instant realization and gratitude I hold for the band after this became known. My thoughts could only drift to the fact that although their music's lyrics never attached to any specific target of this, it was different enough that it made the people listening feel like everything was going to be okay. I felt a connection to every Queen fan old and young and it was such a surreal moment I didn't know how to react but want to cry in the middle of the theater to thank the band for giving me this connection to all these different people. Although those feeling are mostly credited to the band and not the movie, it was the movie that made it known to me that this was their intention and they hit that out of the ballpark. The story of the movie focused on the highs of the band and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Freddie's dark parts of life were riddled in their, but I'm glad that they were resolved soon enough and showed that the point of this documentary was not to show that hardships of a good band, but to show more how people surrounding the artists shaped them and in turn they gave the people an outlet to connect to others on different levels. This movie absolutely opened my eyes to the power of musicians if they use that power for good to influence their fans and to connect them all. Bohemian Rhapsody did a splendid job of showing me that no matter how hard things get to a particular person, there are always people around you waiting to pull you up from the water and let you breathe and get on with your life. So thank you Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, and last but not the least, Freddie Mercury. They will all live on eternally in the hearts of their fans.
