Possibly the single most profoundly offensive piece of media I’ve ever seen. The writers were not aware enough of the gravitas of the event to depict its brutality in such a fetishized manner. The sensitivity of the directors is inconsistent in incredible ways. Outside of that, the characters make uncharacteristic mistakes for the sake of suspense. Heavy-handed, overexplained metaphors; it’s bad writing on every front imaginable. It’s easy to kill Nazis on tv. To question whether killing could be righteous was a task the writers weren’t up for.
