I once read on how to determine bad acting vs bad writing. Bad writing, for the most part, can be determined if a scene doesnt make sense. Wellll this provides you with seeing what bad writing looks like. I've only seen one episode so maybe it will improve...
SPOILER ALERT
Season 1 episode 1- There is a scene where the main actress and sidekick ride a white horse to a scene where a tiny village is being raided by the guys in red..the main actress rides the horse right into the thick of the on slaughter, two of them fall off the horse, the sidekick gets snatched up by the bad men, the main actress gets caught-escapes, gets caught-escapes...never once user her powers , and after a couple of really insignificant scenes runs off to a "cave"....absolutely a scene that made no sense. She rides into a scene she cant win that's beyond obvious , her friend gets caught, and she runs off to a cave where she finds her mother bleeding to death (dont get me started on that scene and the ridiculous mother who somehow bleeding to death stands up for a sword fight)..I digress, again no point to the scene of her riding into a losing battle......that is truly bad writing.
Although I gave 2 stars hoping the series improves and I do enjoy sorcery with mid-evil times...if not for that I would have given it 1 star
