This book was chosen for our Book Club, which strangely enough, meets today...virtually. It was pleasant, a fast read, interesting characters, but I was not really invested in the story.
I liked the setting...Lost Lake, in Georgia, and the premise of the story, a bereaved widow bringing her young daughter to a place she had loved as a child. I didn't feel a connection to the other folks staying at the Lake for one last summer.
I liked the ending, and feel it was a fitting end to the downward spiral that Kate was in.
