This album, although part of an unintentional "trilogy" marks a distinct advancement in the evolution of the world's premier symphonic metal band. The songs show a greater range of tones, feelings, and styles than previous efforts, yet a deep cohesive thread is woven throughout.

Pretty point-on social commentary for COVID times. Narrative not as biting and character development not as wacky as "Dr. Strangelove" nor are the events as prescient as "Network". However, does effectively convey the thesis that people are smart but humanity is stupid in the aggregate. Performances are generally solid. Blanchett is spectacular but Streep seems somehow underutilized. Overall an enjoyable apocalyptic 2+ hours.
