A good movie usually stays with me for a day or 2.
Watched Bohemian 3 days ago and I'm still in awe.
Went with my wife and couldn't explain why I teared up several times, had goose bumps many times. Certainly not out of pity! Nostalgia? Impossible. I just can't explain it.
Spent hours on Youtube (re)watching interviews and history-accurate documentaries. Great and all but didn't touch me like this movie did.
Very (!) glad the movie didn't follow the usual script; undiscovered/broke, self-doubt (never applied to Freddie), success, disaster and fall. This movie went out on a high while the aforementioned documentaries leave you with a WHAT IF 'feel'. Not so for the movie; it was a celebration of his life, and giving well deserved credit to John/Brian & Rodger. I have far more respect for them now than I ever did before.
Rami Malek, BRAVO! You better start practicing your thank-you speech :)
