Waste of nearly 900 pages. An over cerebralized and verbose pre and post apocalyptic diatribe with a 90's NASA orbital mechanics manual thrown in. The first book ends with a whimper for earth in a over telegraphed and irritating twist to what was a minor charcter. The 2nd book ends in what amounts to a rip off of the mid-season finale of the fourth season of the Walking Dead. And that is just part 1 & 2. Part 3 is a spectacular failure of imagination for a 5000 year old space-faring population and not worth the 250 pages that drag out the end of the book. Just No.

Hardly hard science fiction.
Not dystopian as it does not take the time to explain ANY of the water crisis.
Character development- over-acted, inconsistent both to plot and to protagonist and Antagonist roles, illogical.
Plot and plot twist- patently ridiculous.
Woefully disappointing.
