What Dopesick is missing could fuel 10 more series. There ARE real Chronic Pain Patients who have to take opioids to live. I’m not talking about OxyContin as the drug company told doctors to prescribe it. Calling an opioid only 1% addictive is downright stupid! But the series missed the patients with RSD, Severe Back injuries that only get worse, and many other conditions. It makes it look as if all opioid users have to increase doses or suffer. Not true! In March I’ll have had RSD/CRPS for 25 years. I still exercise daily, travel, work, raise a child & husband. This series was created to make the Sacklers look bad. Fine. They deserve it! But it also creates stereotypes out of opioid users. I enjoyed the acting, just not the suspicion thrown on Chronic Pain Patients. I’m curious to see how the rest turns out.
