Made me ponder over the struggles of motherhood. The departure of her lover and all the family burdens falling upon her shoulders and then the increasing hassles of maintaining her children....everything was just mind blowing. I was crying my eyes out during the scene where Ame leaves his home. The character development of Yuki was just WOW! Hana will always remain in my heart as a symbol of perseverance. Watching with family is not really recommended as you would be sobbing most of the time.

As a ghibli movie, of course, this was good. But, it's all about a girl with..I don't know what issues..and men falling for her.(I mean..even if she is going through a hard phase, what is the point in being rude to others & forcing people to do things for her) I didn't like the concept. I detest the girl totally and I don't know why she is the lead and not Shimizu! She is sooo much better than Rikako! I felt disappointed when Taku said he liked her all along?? EXCUSE ME!!
But.. Great Animation!
