I would give a zero star review if possible. Poor representative of the tale 'Chang Er', I've heard many different versions of it since young. From my grandmother to peers, but this film was not close to anything I could relate. It show how little cultural research they did, like Disney's Mulan 2020. It is a film for the westerners (maybe) and I think the film makers got mixed up with Japanese, Korean and Chinese. (We are different race!)
My family were so annoyed that the main voice actor didn't know how to pronoun 'bà ba', instead she said 'ba ba' like how a sheep would sound. Chang Er seems so sinister in start like she was evil or something. It feels like Chang Er was a Korean Pop star at one point, that's new (LOL) She has a 'castle'? Not to mention angry bird looking chickens?
