‼️Spoilers‼️ I give it 3/5 not saying it was a bad movie. I would have to say the original movie from 2008 was bad to say this installment of the movies is bad. Because it is quite literally just like the original, only the two main characters are cast differently and the ending. The original 2008 film staring Liv Tyler is in my top 5 favorite horror movies. And this movie delivered that same great jumpy, scary, creepy feel. The cast played their rolls well. I just wish the storyline would have gone in a different direction. It had a lot of potential to go in a lot of different ways with this, especially how the end is. I do appreciate the ending being different. There's a survivor, finally?! One who can possibly identify the "Strangers"? Someone to take out revenge? Fingers crossed 🤞 the next chapter will make up for the lack of being more creative in this chapter. So many different storylines chapter 2 could bring. This movie did have me jumping a few times. There are good jump scares. A lot of your typical "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" moments, as well. It is a scary movie worth the watch. If you're a fan of the other movies, particularly the original, you may be disappointed. Now I guess we'll get chapter 2 in about 2027. 😂

⚠️Sᴘᴏɪʟᴇʀ Wᴀʀɴɪɴɢ⚠️ Outlander is responsible for my obsession with period pieces. However, nothing has yet to quite compare to this beautifully written story. Finding my new love for this era opened me into the world of vikings as well. Which I am now obsessed with also... 🐿 Moving along. Everything about Outlander is incredibly beautiful. The characters, their stories, the stunning scenery, and the list could go on far longer than you will want to read. The historical accuracy is a big bonus in this review, too. Character building is a bit slow, but not in a way it takes away from the show. More slow as in; you see the passion and intensity between Claire and Jamie, and you want it to hurry and unfold. The relationships between all the characters unfold and come together brilliantly and sometimes brutally. Bringing me to my next point, some of the brutality is unforgiving and hard to watch. Though it paints a much more realistic look into the actual brutality of humans. The time travel story is still wildly unexplored/explained. As the seasons go, you learn a little more about the stone circles. There is more than just the one Claire came through in Inverness, Scotland. A few other details but only things that add to the mystery of "Tʜᴇ Tɪᴍᴇ Tʀᴀᴠᴇʟ Sᴛᴏɴᴇ Cɪʀᴄʟᴇs". Something I'm looking forward to learning more on in the upcoming season(s). I highly recommend this show to everyone. Even if period pieces aren't what you typically your jam. Outlander has so much going within the story. There is never a dull moment. There is always a twist, a turn, an obstacle to get through. And they get through with some of the best acting I've seen. I know nothing of the books. This review is based on the series only.

‼𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒕‼ I was shocked to see as many negative reviews as I did. With that said though, understandably everyone isn't the same... I've just finished the 10th episode, which I'm assuming that is all of Season 1. The way the episode ended, lined up for a Season 2. Ending with another mystery to solve, another treasure to be found... I'm hoping it is picked up for a second season. Now on to my personal review... I really did enjoy the series. I absolutely love the movies. Going in expecting Ben Gates level of a treasure hunt- you may be disappointed. Go in with no expectations of this being a 3rd movie. Go in expecting to watch a new mystery/action fiction form of a spin off. A new mystery, new treasures and clues and new hunters with your typical good hunters/bad hunters. Plenty of twist and turns as well as your old fashioned double crossing. Idk if it is because I'm a fan on the movies &picked up on some of what was off and going to happen. But I did notice myself seeing the twist and knowing who was doing the actual double crossing. It did not ruin the series for me though. I can see how it would for others. Some episodes aren't as exciting as others. I would say 3 out of 10 episodes were kinda what I call "𝐹𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑟 𝐸𝑝𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑑𝑒𝑠". Nothing major happens in those episodes: no returning side characters, no new characters popping in, nothing too important within those "𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑟 𝑒𝑝𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑑𝑒𝑠". Not to say it takes away from the show or makes it boring. Even the few episodes like that are still interesting enough to keep you engaged. You will see mostly all new characters, but you do also get to see some familiar faces from the movies. I always enjoy a new spinoff that does throw in some known faces. Character building is lacking a bit with some of the main characters. It was focused more on 3 main characters, I would have liked more building for the other main characters as well. If it is picked up and renewed for a season two🤞- it will hopefully dive a bit more into the other characters. Other than the lacking areas of character building, the series was great. As I said before do not go in expecting Ben Gates and a 3rd movie. You will not find that here. Go in expecting nothing but a new show. Give a shot without expectations- if you're a fan of this type of genre, I think you'll enjoy the series.

Simply put, WOW- this series is absolutely phenomenal... Of course I can't leave things just simple. I have not read the books, I knew nothing more than what I've seen in trailers and read in reviews. It took me MONTHS to actually give it a chance. I never felt it was something I'd like, but also always seemed to be more of a kids things. Far from it, SO far from it. The first episode hooked me and drug me down the rabbit hole. This series is unique, it is fantasy, mystery, action- it has so much. Not a single episode is boring nor slow. Every episode digs you in deeper. The cast are perfectly cast. The character building is great when it comes to Lyra. Other main characters have some small details that come out but not so much. As the episodes go on they come together and you do begin to understand more. But you much pay close attention, or you will get lost. IF you're like me- knowing nothing of the story, nothing of the books. If you're a fan of the books you may follow along better than I. Idk how much difference there is between the book and the series. I'm a fan of fantasy, otherworldly things, witches, so on... One of my favorite genres. 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒔 have all of that and more and has yet to disappoint me. I'm aggravated with myself waiting so long to begin the series. Without giving major spoilers, I'll end the review here by saying once again... Absolutely AMAZING! Highly recommend. If you think "nah, not my jam, more a kids show.", I promise you it is absolutely not just a childrens series. I thought the samething and I was totally wrong. This series has made it to my top 5 favorites so far. I've only just gotten through season 1. Went above my expectations. The one thing I was not very fond of is the animal/daemons cruelty. Obviously I know it is not real. Real or not, those parts I did kinda skip past so I didn't have to see it. When I say "animals/daemons", the daemons are animals. Not to be taken as a literal demon, as in evil. These 𝑫𝒂𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔" are fictional beings in this series. Daemons are the external physical manifestations of a person's "inner-self" that takes the form of an animal. Which can change forms into other animals until they turn into their final form. Daemons have human intelligence, are capable of human speech regardless of the form they take--and usually behave as though they are independent of their humans.

The Midnight Club... ‼Vauge Spoilers‼ Simply put, I really enjoyed the series! It is unique and different. The character building is fantastic!!! You can easily fall in love with each of these cast members. Not to mention how perfectly each cast member plays their roll. This storyline as well as the stories being told are detailed and beautifully written/told. There is: drama, mystery, plot twist, (awesome twist I certainly didn't see coming) some dark humor, romance, a bit of suspense even- the list goes on. This series hit on real issues and very deep emotional moments. You will NOT get all the answers you want in these 10 episodes, and you will be beyond annoyed by that. However, I think it was lined up perfectly to have a second season.🤞🤞 These teenagers are dealing with more than most will in a lifetime. As they try to navigate their health, their friendships, their families (and family drama) they each learn something new about themselves. They each become closer together and create a family within the walls of Brightcliffe and each other. Being terminal, not knowing which breathe will be their last. They of course want to know "what's next"? Understandably so. They want to know what will be waiting for them on the other side. That is where they make the chilling pact: the first to die much send a sign from beyond the grave. The origin of the pact leads back decades, members have came and gone throughout the years. But the question "what is on the other side" still remained unclear. A lot still remains unclear and untold. At the risk of having too many spoilers- I will leave this review here, unfinished kinda like the series. End by saying give these 10 episodes a try, I highly recommend and enjoyed this unique series.

A fun, laid back but serious at times, romantic and sweet series. The small town charm is right in point and if you live in or have ever lived in a small town you will understand what I mean. I found this series to very well written and cast perfectly for each of the cast members. You really fall in love with each of them in different ways. They are quirky and loveable. If you're a fan of Gilmore Girls then Hart Of Dixie is perfect for you. Fun fact- Gilmore Girls and Hart of Dixie share a gazebo and set! They both have the same silly, fun small town traditions. Many more similarities between the two... Back to Hart of Dixie, while the series is fun, lighthearted and gives you tons of smiles, there are also plenty of emotional moments. As well as many life lessons that you can relate to. I rate this series at 8/10. Give it a shot, you will find yourself wanting more and more. On another note: It would be great if Google reviews had the option to comment on other viewers reviews... Reading through the reviews I found most all to be the same as mine but then landed on one that said "insulting". They found this series to be insulting to them as they are a "actual doctor". Went on to say how everything was basically unrealistic in the real world.I found the review laughable. This is a show, not based off of any real life events. If a series from 1988 is a better series for you to watch then yes, I understand why this isn't the show for you. Being a real doctor and all you should know not to take a comedy series too serious.

*LONG REVIEW WARNING* Longest I've ever left.😂 I do not typically give reviews after just 1 episode, I don't think you can really get a good idea of a series in just the first episode. But with episode 1 of LA BREA I am personally hooked. I am getting Terra Nova vibes from it and I loved that show- hated there wasn't another season. These other worldly mysteries are one of my favorite shows to get hooked on. And this series definitely falls into that category. It did all happen fast and the first episode doesn't get you invested in any one character because there is no type of character building in this episode. But it does leave you with questions and wanting more. For me it did anyway. I can't say too much without it being a spoiler. So I will just say after one episode it has enough there to get your attention especially if you're a fan of shows like Lost, Terra Nova, Manifest... Give it a try. If you're not hooked in the first episode don't just write it off at least watch 2 episodes before making the decision to stick with it or not. I am giving it a solid 4 stars. It has potential in my opinion. •UPDATE• after more episode. (❗SPOILERS❗in this last section) After watching 6 episodes this series is awesome! The time travel story has been done many times over, yes. But this stories way into the time travel is uniquely different. It has allowed the story to go in an interesting direction. There is a solid foundation built on character building. It is slow but with so many main people that is to be expected. They each have their own mystery you're eager to learn all the details. Much like the start to everyone in Lost (a ABC series available on Hulu). Then the entire mystery of everything outside of the characters is a 10 out of 10. The place, or time I should say, that they're in... How many have gotten trapped there, how long have they been there, did they even get there in way of all the others with mysterious "portraits"... The list goes on. This series is simply fantastic, that's being said at 6 episodes in. And that has earned it a 5+ star rating from myself. This is just my personal opinion on it. Some may not agree, we do not all share the same like of shows- how boring would that be! If you're a fan of Terra Nova, Lost, The 100, Wayward pines (many more in that category) I believe this is for you!!

Many are jumping in with expectations of favorite cast members playing another version of themselves from different series, being disappointed and missing out on this shows potential. Do not dive in expecting Sam Winchester or Chuck Norris Texas Ranger. Have an open mind and give it a shot. (More than one episode) 5 episodes in and the series is finding its way and playing into a decent storyline. The entire cast are strong in their roles. The each have their own chemistry with each other. You can easily love each of them. This is more of a family drama than a high action crime solving like you might think. Starting off with Walker's wife mysterious murder. Walker returning home after months of being away to find his children are both in need of their father and he must navigate around a life he has been missing from. While neither him nor his children have had the time to really know how to live the life without Emily Walker (wife & mother). Walker has missing time he needs to make up for, yet still balance his own personal emotional struggles as well as the demands of being a Texas Ranger. I personally adore the cast and look forward to see where the series/story goes. Again, have an open mind and give it a shot.

Simply put this series is amazing. I love period pieces and this is now one of my top 3. I'm an advid reader also but shocking to say- I knew nothing of the novels. Needless to say I will be reading them while waiting for more seasons. Beautiful setting, amazing casting, drama, romance, scandal, interesting storyline; this series has it all and then some. You will fall in love with the characters, you will want more and more. It does move slowly in some aspects but you will never get tired and give up. Not in my opinion that is. Highly recommend!
