I think that the storyline was more captivating if you lived through that time in that area of Los Angeles.
I am a San Fernando Valley native and was 9 in1969 so this really took me back to visions of daily travels in my young life. I went to high school 5 minutes from The Spahn Movie Ranch.
Watching the movie reminded me of the fear quite a few of us felt from the time the murders began until they ended with the arrest of the whole disturbed gang of individuals. We lived with fear because it seemed that the identity of the victims was so random. Who would be next?
I watched the movie knowing the inevitable end, but Tarantino provided me with a Happy ending!!!! The criminals got what they deserved! The people and the baby that I had mourned since 1969 survived. In true Hollywood style the good guys defeated the bad and once again we can all breath a sigh of relief!
Only in Hollywood!
The slow pace was typical of a Tarantino film, so I didn’t expect anything different. Brad and Leonardo
delivered characters that were extremely convincing, but I thought it was the youngest member of the cast Julia Butters who in limited scenes proved she is truly talented!
All in all I enjoyed the movie.
