The acting by Richard Gere and Jodie Foster in the lead roles is exceptional.

Yahudi is great movie directed by Bimal Roy with leading actors Dilip Kumar and Meenakumari. Though I saw the classic movie only recently I enjoyed the acting of the lead actors,music and direction of the great director.The movie is good in many respects in spite the story deali with the Jews in Roman Empire.

After a long time the viewer enjoys a thriller on the happenings in a Hospital during the terrorist attack.It’s exceptional in many angles and keeps the audience spellbound on several occasions.

Hearty Congratulations to Guneet Monga,Rayka Zehtabchi,Melissa and the team of Period,End of Sentence for winning the Best Documentary (Short) award of Oscar. The 26 minutes film set in Kathi Khera ,Hapur Village U.P 60 miles from New Delhi depicts the sufferings of the women due to lack of awareness on sanitary pad and illiteracy.It is incredible that such villages exist in this decade of digital renaissance. The installation of the pad-making machine creation of Arunachalam ‘Pad Man’Muruganantham and marketing the pad highlight the need for focusing on education and healthcare of women in rural villages.Though the film is made in India the impact will be felt in many countries in South America,Africa and Asia. Let us hope that the film will bring a change in the quality of the life of young women and gender equality in the developing countries before long.

Incredible movie displaying the crooked way men take advantage of the weakness of the young women who believe in gender equality and feminism. Amitabh Bachchan as dedicated lawyer fights for justice of the heroine Tapsee Pannu who has been kept in jail for attempted murder of a politician’s son as she helps her friend from being raped by hitting his head with a bottle It’s a film with a touch of class in conveying the need for social justice for the innocent women who have been exploited by men for centuries irrespective of country, and religion.

It’s a fast moving Malayalam movie on the love story of young Charlie extending support to the victims of rape,sexual abuse and failure of surgery.Tessa who leaves home to avoid the marriage forced by her mother develops love when she meets him through his father and friends. Though Tessa and Charlie love each other they express it only in the end in a huge festival crowd . Dulquer and Parvathy acted in the lead roles exceptionally well with a touch of class. Martin Prakkat played a nice job as Director.

The movie is a great with exceptional performance by Smita Patil ,Shabana Azmi and Neena Gupta. Shyam Benegal’s direction is subtle and impeccable. It’s not surprising that the movie has created a new wave in film making in the history of Bollywood.

The movie is exceptionally good in several angles depicting the happenings in music industry and competition among the singers and song _writers. Keira Knightly as Gretta in the lead character of the movie gives the best performance as song- writer and singer who refuse to compromise her values to the likes of producers and audience. Her parting relationship with the boyfriend for making changes in her song is incredible.She brings a successful album in collaboration with Dan who is in search of a miracle thanks to the talented men in the streets of New York City singing/playing day and night. No wonder the film was a great success and box office hit.
