this was so depressing.. it was well shot & filmed. but wow it makes you feel pretty empty inside at the end. ironic that the germans were the only ones who spoke clear english though. i found it very hard to understand the heavy brit mumbled lines. tom wlashiha just wants to find true love. why wont anyone ever love him back. oof.

10/10.. I watched all 3 seasons in 3 days and I cant wait to watch it again someday. I havent been this impressed by a storyline in a long time. I wonder if there will be a 4th season. It ended season 3 beautifully. I couldnt have imagined a more perfect ending. As an American this may be traitorish to say but I found myself rooting for the U-boats, U-949 in particular, to prevail when faced with conflict and enemies. I wanted to see that young crew of boys return home safely to live their lives. Most ww2 films/series make all Germans out to be ruthless emotionless Nazis - but as Tom Wlashiha once said "many were just trying to get by" and this series highlighted that perfectly. There is no winner in war, only losers.

Im a scientist in everything I do. I do everything with astute observation - always asking the question of "what does this mean? and how can we test what we think it means?" - and this show completely satisfies my desire to understand phenomena that can't be explained away by rationalization. If you want to watch a show about the paranormal in the form of extraterrestrial - or i guess in this case intraterrestrial - that follows the guidelines of the scientific method then this show is for you. If you have a curious mind and can appreciate that some questions wont be answered by the government - that sometimes a really rich dude with a ripe curiosity sometimes has to step in and experiment with extremely qualified scientists to understand the unexplainable at Skinwalker ranch - you will love this show. Don't watch this show expecting fake thrills and performance. Expect real scientists to ask real questions with real insight into their individual fields of study. Huge Bonus: Lots of UFOs caught on tape BY THE PRODUCTION TEAM WHILE FILMING THE EXPERIMENTS. They are not cheap - the experiments require a great deal of money to execute and they only get bigger and bigger as you watch. Its amazing.

This is such a beautiful movie, the score, the visuals, the attention to detail in facial expressions. Its not rushed, and the dialoge isnt rushed either. It gives the script depth, and envokes greater connection with the characters. Jack Black is great. Hes usually a clown in his movies but I really enjoy him playing a more serious yet still goofy role. His acting abilities thrive in the role he plays as the filmmaker here. The music, the music the music. It's wonderful, adoring, suspenseful, and colorful. Naomi Watts, Adrian Brody. A love story? Adrian Brody, so young, so chiseled. Really fell in love with their romance. Adrian Brody's dreamy eyes...

Brilliantly filmed, with an ethereal soundtrack to match. Brilliant photography, and unique to have the perspective of someone other than the captain, but instead the Sonar / Sound Analyst on board the sub. I'm also really pleasantly pleased they chose not to go with a love story but instead chose to use his female friend as a way to dig deeper into his psyche as a sound technician. This was not a love story unless it was about the love he has for using sound proprioception. I still wonder - who made him fail the drug test? He did not seem like the kind of man to smoke cannabis. Judging by the look of disbelief on Socks' (and his captains) face when Grandchamp told him he failed his drug test (THC) - it seemed that someone DIDN'T want him on board the SSBN. Could it have been the General who caught him in the archives then complained about him being in the bunker later that day? Would love to know what others think about this. Did he just smoke a doobie and forget? Or did someone sabotage his test to keep him from boarding the Formidable (or out of love to keep him out of harm's way)? Did the Formidable make it? Was it the SSBN they stood on in the final scene with scars on its back from the torpedo that struck just above it when they released the air bubbles to trick the torpedo? Does Grandchamp survive? So many open-ended questions. Why doesn't D'orsi try to swim back to the TItan after getting hit by the Formidable's torpedo? Had he just given up and rather die peacefully in the sea than return to the Titan for mutually assured destruction on his longtime comrade, Grandchamp? 10/10

Lots of people seemed to have issue with the tale of "loss" here and gave it 1 less start because of that. I have to remind each and every one of you that the pain of loss, that is losing someone close to you, that grief or pure directionless destruction is felt differently by every single person who goes through it. If you came here hoping this movie would tell YOUR story of loss, you came for the wrong reasons. Who are you to judge someone's grief and how it should truly be portrayed? I can promise you my journey of grief was much different from yours. Also - it was my interpretation that while her friend is on his death-bed and tells her he was the one driving when his family was killed (while shes on her way out the door) was not so she could comfort him. He tells her hoping that she will open up to him and tell him her grief too. The reason he helped her in the first place was that he saw himself in her. He just happened to be further along in the grief process where he was actually able to talk about it. Everyone has to go through their stages on their own timeline and he understood that better than anyone. He doesn't confide in her hoping she stays quiet like she always has. He confides in her hoping she will confide in him, too, so that she doesn't have to carry that weight alone anymore. A burden is lifted for them both. He cries from relief, a shared pain. That was my interpretation anyhow, - obviously, your's might be different and that's okay. Great movie if you want to be on the edge of tears for 89 minutes

This was a beautiful movie of a woman who is kidnapped the night before she is doomed to mary a man she doesn’t love in a pre-arranged Pakistani wedding. She is taken to India where she is to be handed off to another man that she knows and believes will whisk her off to a future of riches. When the plan begins to fall apart, an unlikely bond is formed between her and her kidnapper with alternate motives in tow. The movie begins in Pakistan and journeys through to India where the plot begins to unfold. Beautiful countryside, city, and ocean-side travels guide the characters through a tale of lost and found identities. A must watch for anyone who likes some action, culture, and twisted romance without all the corny cliches.

Calibre explores the divide between freedom and humanity by forcing you to choose. Contemplate where your consciousness would lie along this knife’s edge. Calibre effectively portrays the panic and turmoil caused by deadly accidents and the path one must choose between morality and freedom. Had me horrified, lost, helpless, anxious, sad and terrified right along with them. Life can never go back to the way things were, it can only move on. Not to mention it was beautifully filmed, scripted and directed. Bonus: main character is pretty adorable too.
