Context, I am a Star Wars OG, saw New Hope in 78. Plus I enjoyed Last Jedi and ROS, so I'm not your normal toxic Star wars fan Ok brace yourself..... Moss and Lee aside, the acting is beyond awful. Playing twins is difficult, yet this proves that if done really badly, it can be done so badly it can become confusingly irritating. The CGI looks like a fan film (no dis to some of the great fan movies) budget. The directing is 1st year movie student as is the cinematography. The production lacks imagination, set 100 years before Phantom Menace apparently, yet everything looks like 'A New Hope'. The script is bafflingly bad, almost as if they wanted it to be cringe. It seems to be written by someone trying their utmost to write a cool zinger in ecery scene. I honestly don't have the words (evidently neither did the script writers). Not 2 scenes go by without a contradiction to the previous scene. SPOILER 'A jedi only draws their weapon when they intend to kill' next scene *uses lightsaber as a torch. Someone having a conversation with a vision, getting lost in a building she has never been in, can navigate to a room in a Jedi temple faster then Jedi security taking the Jedi master directly there. Despite starting at the same time. Thats just 2 of a dozen. I won't even get started on tearing up 50 years of lore for an arc that makes no sense. In short the worst, the absolute worst show to carry the Star Wars name. Possibly one of the worst shows ever I have tried to watch.

The wonderful way that those we love have the ability to elevate and destroy in equal and careless measure, is wonderfully captured with two predictably strong performances. Similar to Lincon, in the way a single slice of the characters lives ambitiously attempts to give us an insight into an icon of British art. As simple and unpretentious as Lowry's work, this movie gives a glimpse into the great man's vision and personality. Those that claim the movie is devoid of colour and imagination I fear dont quite get it, ' I start with white'.
