I have never forgotten this masterpiece. John Barry's soundtrack will stay with me forever. This movie is so powerful that I couldnt stop crying for weeks after I first saw it in the early eighties. Jessica Lange is our modern day Frances Farmer. I felt like I had gone back in time watching her in this movie. Sam Shepherd was perfect as Harry. This was a great team GREAT MOVIE

Brilliant. These actors are absolutely first class and perfect for their roles. They are so realistic. This is the best TV series I have seen in a long long time. Every now and then the British will bring out a series that will knock your socks off. This is the series.

I BOUGHT THIS MOVIE ON DVD IN AUSTRALIA BECAUSE OF THE DOG ON THE COVER. I READ THE BACK OF THE DVD AND KNEW THAT IT WAS FOR ME BRILLIANT !

This movie captures your attention from minute one. Tilda Swinton is brilliant I found the movie quite sad and very moving. You are led on a journey that you are unsure of where you are going. People have to cope with the traumas in their life the best way they can. I cannot explain all of the movie. You will not see anything like it again. The country side looks beautiful.. I guess it covers up all the trauma that went on there in the past. This movie will have you thinking long after you have watched it.

Brilliant movie. So well acted with nothing over the top. Wonderful landscapes. Very sad about the young aboriginal man in the end. I don't know why he did what he did.. I I bought the DVD as this is a one off movie. Well done!
