this movie is terrible, i went to see it with 4 people and out of the 4 (not even including me) only one person liked it. from the beginning of the movie i knew it was going to be dumb after the dock scene. the actors did a good job but the movie was just so painfully bad, there were some funny parts but that’s all. the plot was also extremely predictable, like i’ve seen a film like this a million times already.

this was a beautiful show with an amazing message. i am one to usually finish shows very slow but i started this last night and stopped watching at four in the morning. i rested then finished the show today, the ending almost made me tear up. this was a lovely show. i also usually hate musical type films that have a lot of singing but i didn't mind this one. if you want a cute little wholesome show that makes you feel good then watch this.

despite the bad rating, i loved this film. i read the book first, read it in 2017-2018 and it very fastly became a fave of mine. when i heard a movie adaptation of the film was coming out i was very excited. while i feel as though the film misses some key things and characters for the most part they did an amazing job bringing the characters to life. i think people rated this movie badly because they didn't read the book so they have no idea what is happening. i suggest you read the book before watching because though it is long it is worth it in my opinion.

lord, this anime has me tearing up with every single episode. while it is funny it is also very sad when you realize the main character, kotaro is alone. it makes me happy that all his neighbors take care of him though. the main character is such a good person. my brother and i are watching this as i type it right now (on episode three or four) i only planned on watching one episode but this is so good. this show NEEDS a season two please please! i rarely make reviews for films but i needed to. i recommend this.

There felt like there was so much missing in this, most of it could've happened in like fifteen minutes. It was a lot of filler which I did not like. I have no idea how this has a 100% on rotten tomatoes, but, the rating for it is very deceiving. I finished the film very unsatisfied... it just was not good. There were so many cringe and unexplained scenes that left you with more questions than when the movie began. I did like seeing the cultural differences and the scene where they were trying to take the snake or demon or whatever out of her was cool but that is all. It was a bit of a lousy movie, it could've been way shorter than it was because as I repeat again there was so much filler. I feel like I kept waiting to be scared and it never happened, at most, there were five jump scares. At times the movie felt like it was going to build up but it never ended up happening. That's all I have to say about this. Maybe someone out there will enjoy it, but I am not that person.
