One note characters drag down the plot. The illogical things that the main characters/protagonists do are bafflingly foolish. They don’t use logic at all. The female lead is just the archetypal woman who gives up her humanity for success in the business world. This is basically the only aspect of her character. She is supposed to be the kind of person who would risk her life for an extra bit of cash, the kind of person who thinks she’s able to negotiate with mobsters. She really isn’t. She just scams a few old people but she’s portrayed as some sort of “relentless” swindler. I was hoping that the mobsters would just kill her and her girlfriend. I hate her for not only thinking that they could challenge mobsters but also for also scamming old people and likening herself to a lioness for it. The ending was also over the top and unrealistic given the kind of person that the protagonist was shown before to be. The movie is one note with no real complexity to it at all. I really just hope the protagonist dies by the end of the movie. (She does but in an ironic way) I also hate how she’s such a basic b#tch that when she feels threatened she pulls the feminist card. “I don’t fear a man threatening me”. That really ticked me off because of how basic her personality was. I’M JUST PISSED THAT I AM WATCHING THIS!!!
